And that is especially true if you take other acetaminophen containing products, of which there are many.Liver warning: This product contains acetaminophen. Severe liver damage may occur if you take: More than 4 doses in 24 hours, which is the maximum daily amount With other drugs containing acetaminophen 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day while using this productBut if you gulp down a lot, and then drive, the result may make any risks you might think become much more severe. My opinion, as a trained medicinal chemist and knowledgeable about pharmacology? You would have to be really desperate, and could do more damage to yourself in trying to get high. 4 weeks ago 100% 2 Votes

What cold medicine work? I used to take drixoral, it's no longer avaiable?
- Chosen by Voters Nothing is going to shorted the duration of the cold virus. The cold virus is self limiting and will resolve spontaneously. It shouldn't persist for longer than a week and the worst of the symptoms should peak after 24-36 hours. Get rest, push fluids and take paracetamol. There is weak evidence that Echinacea might decrease the severity symptoms and weak evidence shows that Zinc may reduce the severity of the cold symptoms in children but none will have any effect on the duration of symptoms. The evidence for echinacea and zinc is very weak, I wouldn't bother if I were you. 2 years ago 100% 2 Votes 1 person rated this as good
How can you tell the difference between a cold and the flu?
The main characterizations of the flu are high (102-104 degrees Fahrenheit) fever, chills, and severe muscle aches.A cold is usually characterized by a variety of symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, stuffiness, sore throat, low-grade ( 100-101) fever. You'll usually still eat when you have a cold. With flu, you usually don't have an appetite. With a cold, you can and usually will get out of bed and go to work. With flu, you'll usually find you can't pull yourself out of bed, much less go to work. A lot of people confuse the two, thinking they have the flu, when they actually just have a bad cold.Yes, it's possible you've never had the flu yet. When you do, you'll never wonder about the difference again. 6 years ago 3 people rated this as good Thanks for the info.
Letting Flu/Cold run it's course?
Definitely stay home from the pub. You don't want to end up feeling worse and you don't want to make others around you sick, too.Let it run its course unless you start running a high fever above 101 degrees F, have uncontrolled voming and/or diarrhea. If this occurs, it's time to call the doctor and make an appointment. There are anti-virals out there that the doctor can prescribe to you during the first 24 hours of being ill.Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated and enjoy Call of Duty!I hope you feel better soon! 11 months ago 1 person rated this as good thanks
Do you get these symptoms with the common cold or a flu?
Thats what a fever is.You get really cold and want to bundle up in a really thick blanket .but dont ,It will only make the fever worse and go up.Those are all signs of the flu, except throwing up is the main cause of the flu , you should go see the doctor or seek medicane for yourself if you have all those symptoms . 2 years ago thanks for the info. and I started throwing up after I ate…went to the doctor and I tested positive for a minor case of swine flu
Cold, Flu, or Something Else?
- Chosen by Voters It could be the influenza virus- not the stomach flu- which is completely different. With influenza the symptoms tend to decrease after 3 days- including the fever and body aches but coughing and sneezing will persist for a week or more. If your fever persists or you throat starts to hurt worse, I would go to the doctor to make sure it is not strep throat as a secondary infection from the flu. Source(s): myself- influenza got me this winter and I am a biomedical sciences grad student. 4 years ago 100% 1 Vote
What does it mean if you come down with nearly every cold/flu going?
Perhaps your doctor should test you for Primary Immunodeficiency (not related in any way to HIV or AIDS) The warning signs for an adult include (http://www.cisociety.com/files/what-is-P…1. Two or more new ear infections within 1 year.2. Two or more new sinus infections within 1 year, in the absence of allergy.3. One pneumonia per year for more than 1 year.4. Chronic diarrhea with weight loss.5. Recurrent viral infections (colds, herpes, warts, condyloma).6. Recurrent need for intravenous antibiotics to clear infections.7. Recurrent, deep abscesses of the skin or internal organs.8. Persistent thrush or fungal infection on skin or elsewhere.9. Infection with normally harmless tuberculosis-like bacteria.10. Why is chicken noodle soup recommended for the cold/flu?
the particular blend of nutrients and vitamins in traditional chicken soup can slow the activity of certain white blood cells. This may have an anti-inflammatory effect that could hypothetically lead to temporary ease from symptoms of illness. Sipping warm soup can also clear the sinuses because of the steam ventilating into the nasal passages, serving as a natural decongestant, which also relieves cold and flu symptoms 4 years ago Very informative, answered my question and did not leave me wondering.
